Town of Orange NH: Town of Orange newsletter Vol. 2 No.24 July 4, 2026

Hello everyone,

Today's newsletter is below and in the attached pdf.
Happy 4th of July weekend - see pages 5-9 for celebrations nationally and in the surrounding towns.

WEATHER:

  • A heat wave is coming our way! If needed, please seek local cooling stations: Canaan Senior Center, Canaan Fire Station, Canaan Library and Orange Town Hall.


NEW NEWS:

  • Town Clerk Saturday hours will be July 11 from 9-11am (in place of the first Saturday which is July 4. Expect Kami to be celebrating somewhere on the 4th!)

  • The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA):If you are a qualified New Hampshire voter who is living overseas or serving in the military, you can vote absentee as a UOCAVA voter. Application deadline is July 25. The Town Clerk office will be open on Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 3-5pm for the express purpose of processing applications.  No other business will take place during this time.

  • July 29: Heating and Electrical Assistance - see last page

  • American Legion in Canaan, July 4th celebration (see page 9)

  • Historical Cemetery Tours: There are posted placards in each of the Town Cemeteries. You are encouraged to visit!
