Cardigan State Forest Gets an Addition

Sandi Pierson, secretary to the Board of Selectmen, sent us this from the minutes of a recent meeting:

Mount Cardigan State Forest:  Dorothy stated that Norco has conveyed 257 acres (Map 4, Lot 15) to the State of New Hampshire and this land is now part of Mount Cardigan State Forest. This acreage is on the
summit and eastern slope of Hoyt Mountain and includes the Hoyt mine. It is contiguous with state forest land having frontage on Burnt Hill Road.

    School Board Meeting

Don't forget the Mascoma Board meeting this Thursday, October 27. Sandi Pierson tells us that the meeting starts at 6 at the Orange Town House.  The non-public session is ninth on the agenda--not 5:30 as we previously reported.  (The agenda is posted on the bulletin board outside the Town House.)
